FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Contact: Mac LeMone City of Columbia: Police Training Center Receives “Buy American” Plaque February 18, 2010: Little Dixie Construction and Nucor Building Systems presented the Columbia Police Department with a “Buy American” plaque for the new Robert M. LeMone Columbia Police Training Center located on Meyer Industrial Drive, south of Columbia. The late Bob LeMone donated over 2 acres to the City of Columbia for this project. The new 9,500 square feet training center was constructed by Little Dixie Construction LLC, a local General Contractor with over 45 years of experience in metal building construction and general contracting. The building was fabricated in America by Nucor Building Systems using American steel. Nucor Building Systems is a leading manufacturer of metal building systems with IAS AC 472 accreditation assuring the structural integrity and quality of the project and presents plaques to those buildings designed, detailed, and fabricated in America with American products.
